Works of Friction: Hybrids

2022The studio explores program as a source of architectural thinking and imagining. The building design problem encompasses a hybrid condition combining two normally incompatible programs, one of my choosing and one chosen at random from a set.
The design process focuses on hybridization–the combining of elements, programs, materials, space to create new architectural propositions for a 100’x100’ building housing a community pool and supermarket.
