Wedging, rolling, scoring, slipping, and firing clay carefully position the architectural massing model as a vehicle into ceramics and sculptural practice.
The making of these sculptures immerses the architect into the role of the ceramicist. Through trial and error in hand building and glazing techniques, the architect develops a closer connection to the material.

Through labor, time, and practice the architect begins to envision a dictionary for a ceramic world, a campus that supports community and a love for working with clay. The ceramic sculptures encompass the typologies of sawtooth, butterfly, gable, and shed roof. The typologies are facilitators of specific programs and are configured together to encompass a campus that supports and celebrates working with ceramics.
