2022The project encompasses the development of a proposal for the renovation of the What Cheer Flower Farm in Providence, Rhode Island. The building entails a flower and stem processing center, classrooms, offices, and a community event space. Our proposal sought to capture the flower farm’s resiliency and environmentally friendly focus by developing a hybrid structural system of steel framing and CLT slabs and walls.
Particular attention was directed to the design of a building envelope that addresses the fundamentals of control layers, responds to the local New England climate, and articulates the language of architecture.
